The other day my best friend Nikki and I decided to try re making this pin that she found on pinterest. Below is the recipe and below that is a video of how the story unfolded. This will make a great summer treat.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of Hot Cocoa Mix
  • 4 1/2 Cups of ice
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons of regular white sugar
  • 1/3 cup of Chocolate Chips
  • 1/3 cup of White Chocolate Chips
  • Whip Cream
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cup of Evaporated Milk from a can

The process:

Mix the sugar, cocoa, and butter in the top of a double boiler, that is set over a pot of boiling water. (We didn’t have a double boiler so we just put a pot on top of another pot with boiling water we just had to be careful.)

Keep stirring the mixture until everything is melted and looks kind of like a paste. Now add the chocolate chips and the white ones too. As the chocolate chips melt stir in 1/2 cup of evaporated milk. Keep stirring until it is smooth. Now cool it to room temperature.

Now that it has reached room temperature add rest of the evaporated milk to the the chocolate mixture with ice in a blender. (What I found works best is if you have a fancy fridge that can crush the ice when it comes out do that. If you don’t I’m sure if you crush up the ice with a blender first and then add everything you will get less chucks of ice). Now blend until smooth.

Pour into some chilled glasses. To make this fancy on the top of each one add some whipped cream and sprinkle the top with chocolate chip shavings and add some mini marshmallows.

That’s it you are done. Now sit back and enjoy.
