Easter Egg Nests

Easter Egg Nests

I made some Easter Egg Nests for Easter below is the recipe. They are super simple to make and take little to no time at all.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa
  • 2 cups of quick oatmeal
  • 1 cup of coconut
  • Cadbury mini eggs

In a pot mix the butter, sugar, evaporated milk, and cocoa. Place on the stove and bring it to a boil while mixing everything together so it becomes a nice chocolate looking soup. Once it has started to boil remove the pot from the heat and add the coconut and quick oatmeal. Mix everything together until the oatmeal and the coconut are covered in chocolate. now leave it in the pot for about 10 to 15 minutes to let it cool just a bit. Next get some wax paper and a cookie sheet (or whatever you want to put them on) and use two spoons and scoop out the mixture from the pot and place it on the wax paper in medium sized lumps (same concept as if you where going to make cookies in the oven) now let it sit for about 15 minutes or more. Use a small spoon and place an indent in the middle of each nest. Add the Cadbury mini eggs to each nest. You can eat them now but the might still be messy, I like to leave them out for 15 to 20 minutes or more to let them harden and then they should be good to go. I hope you enjoyed this recipe.

Check out the video of how I made them.
